Lori Leigh Yarborough

is a physical therapist and graduate of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She lives with her husband and four children in Texas.

When her son was diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum, Lori came up with the idea of “superpowers” to explain to him why he interacted with the world the way he did. The 139 Inspired Series was created to show all kids they are wonderfully made.

Her youngest daughter is obsessed with sloths and asked her if she could write a book about them. Lori never intended on becoming an author in the first place, just an advocate for kids. But to humor Anna, she came up with the idea of an itty bitty pocket sloth that snuck inside Anna’s backpack and went to school with her. Just a completely silly series with no point other than to amuse and entertain.
